Med in Market: the VI edition of the Torino Food Market Festival – June 11-12-13, 2010
The Food Market Festival, organized by The City of Turin and the Conservatoria delle Cucine Mediterranee del Nord Ovest, returns to Turin having the Mediterranean markets as it’s rotagonists.
Markets are a place of encounter and dialogue. Med in Market is an opportunity to enjoy and taste excellent food, delicacies and traditional Mediterranean dishes. Med in Market is organised within the European Project MedEmporion, an initiative promoted by the City of Turin, Genoa and Barcelona, together with the Conservatoria del Nord Ovest and Conservatoire des Cuisines Méditerranéennes of Marseilles.
The Food Market will take place in the Turin centre, mainly in the well known Porta Palazzo market. Through this project Conservatoria and the City of Turin are committed to contribute to the redevelopment of the Porta Palazzo market, giving a special attention to the tourist aspect of this area situated between the Archaeological Park and the Roman quarter of the city and been closed to two of the major museums: the Museum of Oriental Arts and the Archaeological Museum.
