Med EMPORION kick off meeting in Barcelona
Med EMPORION kick off meeting in Barcelona establishes strategies, calendars and common work standards and develops ambitious goals to improve the links of Mediterranean markets.
Representatives of all partners involved in the Med EMPORION Project decided in the Catalan capital on july 16th the working agenda, methodology managing and financial procedures, and the communication standards to be fulfilled for this three-year project partially funded by the European Commission through the Med Programme. The meeting took place at La Boqueria premises, the best and more awarded of the Barcelona markets.
Participants discussed on the guidelines on how to proceed with the pilot projects, the academic studies, and the organization of food festivals. In a cool, participative and friendship atmosphere, the communication work has been also discussed and adopted. A comprehensive diagramed structure of management and a complete calendar of activities have been approved. Last but not least, clear indications from the leadership team on how to proceed with administration and finances and how to report were also introduced.
The project was introduced to the press some weeks later, on august 5th during a press conference chaired by vice mayor Jordi W Carnes, president of Barcelona Markets.
